Mobility WOD

One of my largest professional influences is Kelly Starrett and his website MobilityWOD. For those who aren't familiar with Crossfit terms, "WOD" stands for "workout of the day." Kelly provided a way to improve your joint ranges without doing any static stretching. Kelly is an incredible public speaker and his book is a must read for anybody who does Crossfit or has any interest in learning proper exercise technique. MobilityWOD is website with a ton of free content, including over 300 free videos to help improve your functional range of motion - whether your goal is to improve performance or reduce risk of injury.  I am a firm believer that static stretching does not improve performance or reduce risk of injury, but rather being able to perform functional movements with proper form is the key to injury prevention...but that's another post for another day.
